Sensations of an Electric Shock during Sleep | Menopause NowWhy does your body move while you're falling asleep? If you've ever found yourself alone to be awakened by a vigorous, whole body or asshole, then don't be alarmed. You are among those who regularly experience a phenomenon known as a hypnotic imbecile — also known as a hypnotic imbecile, or the beginning of sleep — that strikes as a person falls into a deep sleep. This is what we need to know about it. How do the sleeping idiots feel? Hypnotic assholes, involuntary twigs or shakes that occur during the night can affect people in different ways. Many people will sleep through them, but for others, they are vigorous enough to wake them up. Although there is no definitive explanation for what hypnotic assholes cause, people are more likely to suffer from them when they are either deprived of sleep or anxious, or when they make sleep reduction habits before going to bed, such as drinking caffeine or exercising near bedtime, says James Wilson, an expert in dream behavior based in the UK and in the dream environment. "For people suffering from hypnotic idiots, it's horrible," he adds. "They care about it before they go to bed, which makes it worse. "Jacqui Paterson, who is 44 years old and lives in the UK, says he has experienced these types of crutches almost at night for about three years. "When I was about 41 years old, I began to feel insomnia, which I had never had in my life before," he says. "Initially, I was staying awake all night, but now I have these angry idiots who wake me up exactly an hour after I fell asleep, as someone has put an alarm in my head. Looks like I've replaced one evil with another. MORE: Paterson says the assholes come more regularly when he feels worried or worried. If you care about them before you go to bed, then "almost assured" you will suffer from them that night. The idiots feel like a blow or an electric shock, Paterson says. "I've heard that people talk about having a fall when they get to sleep," he says. "For me, the feeling is like that, but on steroids. It's like somebody came to slap me. It's a really shocking feeling, like jumping to cold ice water. I always wake up feeling totally alert." What causes hypnotic idiots? Simply said, hypnotic assholes are caused when a part of the brain tries to sleep faster than other parts of the brain. "The complexity of going to sleep and awakening is amazing, and sometimes — especially when we are asleep private — our brain doesn't normally close, which means we have this kind of masturbation movement when we're in a light sleep," Wilson says. Often, he adds, the brain tries to make sense of it, "which is when we imagine falling from the sidewalk, a cliff or a hole. " The reason some people experience twitches at such a predictable time is due to their circadian rhythm, or body clock, says Wilson. "Normally when we go to bed, about half an hour later we go to a deep sleep stage during which we would not get these hypnotic assholes," he says. "If someone is deprived of sleep, as they go through the sleep process, the brain will get stuck at the same time. Usually, if we can help people face their sleep deprivation, the instances decrease or disappear together." How can you stop sleeping idiots from happening? There are ways to limit the effects, especially by making a conscious effort to sleep better. Try to sleep in a good routine, Wilson says. "Wait at the same time every day, and finish well before going to bed, making sure that the activities you do in the hour before going to sleep are relaxed with you. As most of the problems surrounding sleep, preventing hypnotic imbeciles is trying to solve that sleep deprivation." Wilson also suggests that if a person suffers from them at the same time every night, they could ask a roommate or family member to disturb their dream about five minutes before the assholes show up, either encouraging them to go back to bed or rub something near them. Often, that will help prevent the twigs from happening, he says. Get our Health Newsletter.
